Only there is something in you that doesn't care about honor and pride yet that lives, that even walks backward for a whole year just to live; that probably even when this is over and there is not even defeat left, will still decline to sit still in the sun and die, but will be back out in the woods, moving and seeking where just will and endurance could not move it, grubbing for roots and such--the old mindless sentient undreaming meat that doesn't even know any difference between despair and victory, Henry.

I was trying to find a picture of a broken one, as the Gizmodo article perspicaciously implies that such might be a problem. No luck (yet). But still:

The design company behind the tables has chosen not to share the pricing information, so the magnitude of sticker shock an interested foosball enthusiast can expect with the Teckell collection is unknown. Still, who would want one of these? Foosball is a casual game involving beer drinking, take no prisoners competition, yelling, screaming and the occasional fistfight—not dressing up in your Sunday best and sharing a glass of champagne with Richie Rich. (#)

I thought the last might be a tad melodramatic, but then I consulted my own experience and realized that, empirically, it had come awful close once or twice…
